Executive function skills (and deficits) are so intertwined with ADHD that many consider them interchangeable. That’s not exactly true, but the distinctions are irrelevant to your middle- or high-school student who habitually forgets homework assignments, procrastinates until the last minute, and really struggles to plan and execute long-term projects. What matters is that there are solutions for building stronger executive functions.
