Struggling with tantrums, hitting or other challenging behaviors? Are your child’s behaviors leaving you feeling frustrated and unsure of what to do? Join us for an interactive, question-driven program with Ochanya McRoberts-Wells, MEd.

Program includes:

Practical behavior strategies that actually work
Real-life answers for your concerns
A free Behavior Toolkit for every family with laminated visual schedules and reward charts

Good to know:

This program is for caregivers of children ages 18 months-6 years, with or without a diagnosis
Free childcare is available for ages 1-12 years. Registration required

This program is presented in partnership with Westlake Porter Public Library and the Rotary Club of Westlake-Bay Village and is supported by a grant from GPD Employees’ Foundation.

Childcare (provided by CFK) is free and available on a first come, first served basis for children ages 1-12. Infants under 1 are welcome in the caregiver program with their adult. We are able to accommodate children with disabilities and complex needs.

Each child must be registered separately. Space is limited.

Myths and Facts: Getting to Know the Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities (30 Sep 2026)

Does your child have a diagnosis or developmental disability, but you’re unsure what county resources are out there? Or is your child already approved for services, but you don’t know what you need or how to get it? Join CFK and the Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities for a workshop and get your questions answered.

Program Includes:

Getting the facts and dispelling the myths about disability resources
Learning what support exists and the steps to get what you need
Break-out groups to get your questions answered and connect with other families
A rundown of disability services from birth through transition age

This program is for families in Cuyahoga County. Additional counties will be covered in future programs
This program is for adults only, but free childcare is available for ages 1-12 years. Registration required.

This program is presented for adults only and is presented in partnership with Heights Libraries. Hybrid attendees will receive a Zoom link for the event via email. Due to grant funding, this program is open to residents of Northeast Ohio.

Moving Through Stress (01 Oct 2026)

Nervous system caught in fight, flight or freeze? Dealing with the chronic stress of caregiving and its effects on the body and mind? Join us for an embodied workshop led by Hope Hamling of Abide Yoga, Certified Yoga and Movement for Trauma Teacher.

Program Includes:

Practical tools to regulate your nervous system
Gentle movement practices to help restore your ability to handle stress
Learning how to move between stress and regulation and calm a nervous system in overdrive

Good to Know:

Open to all bodies and ability levels. No experience required.
Wear comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat if you have one
This program is for adults only, but free childcare is available for ages 1-12 years. Registration required.

This program is presented in partnership with Lakewood Public Library and is supported by a grant from the Healthy Lakewood Foundation.
