Our Parent Match program connects families who face similar challenges so that they can share insights, resources -- and most importantly -- support each other.
Matches are hand-picked based on a number of criteria, including:
- Child's Diagnosis: Our member families include children with ASD, ADHD, ADD, OCD, ODD, Anxiety Disorders, Learning Disabilities, Growth Disorders, Intellectual Disabilities, Sensory Processing Disorders and more. We even have "no formal diagnosis but struggling" matches.
- Geography/School: Connecting for Kids families are represented in many local school districts and private schools. Learn about their experience and the pros and cons of their school decision.
- Language: We have parents who can translate our information into Spanish, French or Arabic.
- "Things in Common:" We have matches based on families of triplets or "moms who moved from New York." We have matches between parents of children of color and matches based on "child was adopted from (insert country here)."
