This program will be a virtual version of our usual Music Therapy & More, hosted on Zoom. Due to grant funding, programs are open to residents of the Greater Cleveland area.
In the confirmation email you will receive:
This program is designed for children (ages 0-6 years) who are struggling in an area of development. Join us for a (virtually) hands-on program designed to teach families how to use music to improve their child's academic, motor, communication and social skills as well as behavior. This program is led by a Board-Certified Music Therapist.
Music Therapy & More welcomes children of all abilities. Some children can’t sit for any/all of the 30 minutes - do not worry if they wander around the room. Some children have limited language - adults can model singing and language for them! Some children have limited motor skills - caregivers can physically assist their child! The music therapist will help guide you during the session!
If you have a child outside of the targeted age range (0-6 years) please call 440-570-5908/para español 440-907-9130 or email info@connectingforkids.org.
Please note: Families may only attend one session per month. This program is a safe space for families and will not be recorded.
Is there a specific behavior or skill you'd like to brainstorm solutions for using music therapy? If so, stay afterward and chat with the music therapist. You can submit your question when you register or ask them live on Zoom.
This program is supported by the residents of Cuyahoga County through a grant from Cuyahoga Arts and Culture and presented in partnership with Westlake Porter Public Library.
